You're right, I did forget Back to My Mac. If you aren't technically inclined, or don't feel like setting up this functionality on your own, this might be pretty helpful. I think I forgot about this feature because I don't really use it. I use screen sharing and file sharing at home, but I also run an Ubuntu server that I keep anything I might need access to while I'm out and about.

If you are not pretty technically inclined though, back to my mac should definitely be in the 'pro' column. I'll update the article, thanks for the feedback.

Don't forget "Back to My Mac!" I don't know why so many people forget to mention this -- perhaps they don't use it, but it's far easier than setting up a VPN or firewall rules on a static IP, and it works from multiple subnets, e.g. my computer at work, my computer at home, my computer on the road, all logged into the same MobileMe account can see each other like they're on the local subnet. It's almost as useful as the push groupware features themselves.

Well, as browsers go, I actually really like Chrome. I sort of switched to using Chrome full time on my Windows machine for a while and was pretty happy with the performance.

As for the OS, I'm excited for how good it could be on netbooks, but am waiting to see a reason you'd want to replace another OS on a real machine.

I could see myself buying a NetBook based on the Chrome OS when it comes out. But I downloaded the Chrome browser yesterday, and was less than impressed. When I clicked on a link in an email, Chrome popped up but failed to load the site. So then I tried pasting in the address, and still no luck. Finally, I typed "www.google.com/chrome" into Chrome and hit 'enter,' and still nothing.

I'm sorry, but that's not the kind of performance I'm looking for in a browser. I like apps that are simple and straightforward. I'll play around some more with Chrome, but based on my initial reaction I would have to say that in all likelihood I'll be sticking with my Mac.
